Scallop is a Finnish C64 scene group and it is founded 22nd Oct. 1997
by Agemixer.
Well, we are near friends to others in long time and we also lived near to others.
So we decided to set up an own scene group.
The group name 'Scallop' is quite neutral and it just means the same like
'mussel core'. Why this kind of strange group name? It comes from Agemixer.
The name of Scallop comes from the times of Atlantis:
they had a slogans like "the way to heaven" and "Rising From The Ocean".
When the activity of Atlantis members dried up and nobody was worth to
reply the sendings, Agemixer felt like a mussel on the dry ground...
When Atlantis seemed to be completely dead those days, we decided to
find a new C64 group. After some months some of us were asked to
join some bigger groups but we are not interested anymore.
Comparing ourselves to the another groups, you can see we have a nice atmosphere,
we know well eachothers and we are near friends to eachothers,
as the founder members of Scallop live in a same city.
This is something i can call a GROUP, as in earlier days, and
that's just how it works!
Our first presentation was on a Zoo'97 party, held in 21st-23rd November 1997 in
Pori,Finland, and our production was a demo called Aquarium.
